- Temporal Mechanics published the first formulation of the Blinovitch Limitation Effect (NA: Timewyrm: Revelation).
- Ernest Hemingway settled in Key West. The Seventh Doctor attempted to take Ace and Benny to Key West at some point after this time to have drinks with "Ernie," but ended up in 1915 Haiti instead (NA: White Darkness).

- Angelo Colasanto was released from prison, but was shocked to see Jack Harkness alive. He stabbed him, believing him to be the Devil. Eventually Jack was locked away at a butcher's shop, with more witnesses of his miraculous recovery referring to him as the Devil attempting to kill him for good. Eventually, Angelo released Jack, wanting to accompany him to Los Angeles but Jack left, leaving his old life behind once more. (TW: Immortal Sins)
