Platform One was a Observation space station designed as an observation deck for various events. In 5,000,000,000 it was orbiting Earth and some of the richest and most powerful people in the Universe where Humans existed gathered there to witness the destruction of Earth.

Platform one was capable of having docked several shuttles, and used Sun filters to shield from the heat of the sun. The use of weapons, teleportation or religion was forbidden on the platform.

It was staffed by Steward, the host, and several maintenance staff including Raffalo.

Platforms three, six and fifteen might have been of similar design. It also had a suite called the Manchester Suite.


The Doctor took Rose Tyler there on her first trip in his TARDIS. (DW: The End of the World)
