Taliesin Lodge was a Cardiff theatre. In 1869, Charles Dickens held a free performance there, reading his A Christmas Carol as it was Christmas Eve. Chaos broke out when the Gelth possessed body of the late Mrs Peace started to project itself from her.
The frightened audience fled but the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler entered, having heard the screams from outside. The Doctor watched the Gelth enter a gaslight, identifying it as a creature composed of gas. Gabriel Sneed and Gwyneth took Mrs Peace's body away.
