Captain Striker was an Eternal who participated in the race for Enlightenment. For the race, his ship, the Shadow, was modelled on an Edwardian sailing yacht.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Striker welcomed aboard the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Turlough and he dined with them. Striker was fiercely competitive with fellow racer, Wrack. Wrack tried to destroy the Shadow with a powerful weapon but the Doctor disabled it and Wrack was sucked into the vacuum of space. (TV: Enlightenment)

- Peter Sallis was originally due to play the role, but industrial action meant that Sallis could no longer fit it around his other commitments.[1]
