{{PropTop}} is a time-saving template that generally allows you to create a SMW page with one command. Simply putting {{PropTop}} at the top of a page will do everything that is required to start a property page, so long as that property is organising people who have held a particular title, like director, writer, or the like.

It will present a lead sentence like this:

"This is a list of the various people who have been credited as [whatever] on DWU shows."

It also automatically adds {{SMW type}}, which is necessary to put the property into the appropriate type.

Variables

If the property doesn't fit the above description, then it still can be used pretty easily. You would then need to change the wording of the template, which you can do in this manner:

{{PropTop|alt=This property is about ''whatever''.}}

If you only need to change the name of the linked job title, then do this:

{{PropTop|new title}}

The property type will default to Page, but it can be changed by filling in the variable type= with an appropriate value from the list at Special:Types.
