Windsor Castle
Windsor Castle in 1988. (TV: Silver Nemesis)

Windsor Castle was a castle in England that was owned by the British monarchy.

A painting stolen from the Louvre was displayed in Windsor Castle in 1815, despite only being a century old. It still hung there a century-and-a-half later. (PROSE: Set Piece)

When the last surviving members of the Luron mothership attempted to invade Earth in 1979, their mothership, which was more than a mile long, entered the atmosphere before coming to a stop above Windsor Castle. According to a BBC newscaster, however, Queen Elizabeth II was not in residence at the time. (AUDIO: The Valley of Death)

On 23 November 1988, the Seventh Doctor and Ace visited the castle in search of Lady Peinforte's silver bow. The Doctor mentioned the last time that he had visited was when they were still building the castle. By this time, there was a painting of Ace hanging on the wall in the castle. (TV: Silver Nemesis)

In the 2000s, a plane destined for London, New Heathrow, crashed into the Windsor, taking out the castle. A prince and his close friend were believed to be in the castle when the crash occurred. The event was caused by spatio-temporal experiments undertaken by ICIS scientists. (AUDIO: Time Heals) The pair were later confirmed dead. (AUDIO: The Longest Night)
