Hello! I'm called Bisqwit. I follow Doctor Who at times. My favourite episodes of the new series so far are:
- Blink : The atmosphere of fear around the Weeping Angels was a strong one when encountered first, and I really liked the predestination paradox with the teleprompter transcript. The character of Sally was also good. This episode was well directed, too. I appreciated the fourth-wall breaking aspect of how the audience was also made an observer that affects the angels.
- The Girl Who Waited : It is a time travel story that really gets one's imagination running. How does the facility work? It was fascinating. Also, Karen Gillan's performance as the old Amy was quite impressive. The episode's ending was touching.
- Turn Left : The story of how fragile the world is and how quickly things can take a serious turn to the bad -- how easily you get martial law and holocaust-like situation -- was very powerful. In addition, despite obvious difficulties of Billie Piper in reprising her role of Rose, finally getting to see her again after such a long time was good.
Coincidentally all of above are Doctor-lite episodes!
My favourite Doctor is the fourth, though I like the third and the tenth a great deal as well. The eleventh is not as bad as I thought he would be.

- Plot holes. You've got a time machine! Use it. How do you excuse that Amy's entire time line after the Angels snatched her is protected now from revisitation? Just go meet her, have adventures with her and take her back. She can still die where she's supposed to. You did the same with River Song!
- Escalation race of season-end spectacles.
- First you had the Daleks about to invade Earth.
- Then you had the Daleks and Cybermen factually invading Earth.
- Then it was the Master destroying Earth's future in a time paradox, and the Doctor factually captured.
- Next it was the Daleks about to destroy not only the entire universe, but all parallel universes as well.
- Then the universe was factually being erased of existence.
- Then the universe was again being erased of existence because of a time paradox.
- Lastly everything that The Doctor ever did was retroactively undone from reality by tampering with his timeline.
And I think Jason Watkins, who played Webley in Nightmare in Silver, looked and felt very much like the Fifth Doctor, or at least like a doctor.
