The use of "Mrs. Moore" as an alias alludes to the fact that a pseudonym, Paula Moore, was used for a previous Cyberman Doctor Who television story, Attack of the Cybermen.

"Mrs. Moore" says she got the name from a book, this is most likely an allusion to E.M. Forester's <i>A Passage to India</i>. As a character, Mrs. Moore serves a double function in A Passage to India, operating on two different planes. She is initially a literal character, but as the novel progresses she becomes more a symbolic presence. On the literal level, Mrs. Moore is a good-hearted, religious, elderly woman with mystical leanings. The initial days of her visit to India are successful, as she connects with India and Indians on an intuitive level. Whereas Adela is overly cerebral, Mrs. Moore relies successfully on her heart to make connections during her visit. Furthermore, on the literal level, Mrs. Moore's character has human limitations: her experience at Marabar renders her apathetic and even somewhat mean, to the degree that she simply leaves India without bothering to testify to Aziz's innocence or to oversee Ronny and Adela's wedding.
Angela and the Tenth Doctor entered Cybus' cyber-conversion factory inside Battersea Power Station via the cooling tunnels to stop the Cybermen. While moving through the factory, she threw an electromagnetic bomb at the Cyberman that was once Sally Phelan, and comforted Sally when she realised the bomb disabled her emotional inhibitor. After the Doctor deactivated Sally's circuitry, Angela insisted that they had to find the cancellation code of every Cyberman's inhibitor "before they kill everyone else". A Cyberman then appeared behind Angela and electrocuted her to death, infuriating the Doctor, saying that they didn't have to kill her. (TV: The Age of Steel)
After her departure, however, Mrs. Moore exists largely on a symbolic level. Though she herself has human flaws, she comes to symbolize an ideally spiritual and race-blind openness that Forster sees as a solution to the problems in India. Mrs. Moore's name becomes closely associated with Hinduism, especially the Hindu tenet of the oneness and unity of all living things. This symbolic side to Mrs. Moore might even make her the heroine of the novel, the only English person able to closely connect with the Hindu vision of unity.

Angela Price was a former 9-to-5 employee of Cybus Industries.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Angela had unwittingly discovered a file on the mainframe that she wasn't supposed to read. "Men with guns" subsequently began knocking on her doors, and she was forced to spent a life on the run. She went under the alias "Mrs Moore" when she joined the Preachers. (TV: The Age of Steel) She worked as their van driver (TV: Rise of the Cybermen) and "techie". After she went on the run, Angela's husband thought she had died. Angela thought it was the only way to keep him and their children safe which she regretted. (TV: The Age of Steel) "ChatGuest1" knew about "Mrs Moore". (GAME: Cybus Spy)

In 2007, Angela did a protocol search on the company that stole away humans — International Electromatics. She figured out that International Electromatics was a dummy company established by Cybus to carry out the kidnappings. But she and the other Preachers didn't know the full extent of Lumic's plans. (TV: Rise of the Cybermen)

Angela and the Tenth Doctor entered Cybus' cyber-conversion factory inside Battersea Power Station via the cooling tunnels to stop the Cybermen. The Doctor asked her about her history and she told him about her past. The Cybermen in the tunnels began to awake after the pair accidentally tripped one of the sensors, and they chased the Doctor and Angela out of the cooling tunnels.

The Doctor later told Jake, Angela's fellow Preacher, to find her family and tell them what she did for them. (TV: The Age of Steel)

The Doctor recalled her when Davros prompted him to remember all who had died in his name. (TV: Journey's End)
