Warwick Davis (born 3 February 1970[1]) portrayed Porridge in the Doctor Who television story Nightmare in Silver.

Davis is best known for his work in science fiction and fantasy films, beginning with his film debut as a teen actor playing Wicket the Ewok in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (a role he reprised in two spin-off Ewok TV movies in 1984 and 1985), followed by the lead role in Willow. He has also appeared in most of the Harry Potter films, playing various characters.

Just prior to his appearance on Doctor Who, Davis, an occasional collaborator with Ricky Gervais, co-starred in the final season of the comedy travelogue programme An Idiot Abroad.

He also starred in the dramatisation of David Walliams' Billionaire Boy, which also starred Catherine Tate.

He reprised Willow in the Willow TV series which has Stephen Woolfenden as a producer. Woolfenden had directed Davis in Nightmare in Silver and Woolfenden has also directed Davis on Willow.
