Deep Roy (born Mohinder Purba on 26 January 1949[1]) is an English actor who played Mr Sin in the Doctor Who television story The Talons of Weng-Chiang. He later played the uncredited role of the Posicarian delegate in Mindwarp. (DWM 249)

Born in Kenya, he stands 52 inches tall and has been appearing regularly on television and in film since 1976. Roy made his film debut as one of the ill-fated assassins who tries to kill Inspector Clouseau in The Pink Panther Strikes Again. He played four different guest roles on Blake's 7 and has also appeared in The Dark Crystal, Return of the Jedi, Big Fish, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Roy notably played all the identical Oompa Loompas in the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. More recently he played Keenser, the diminutive alien sidekick of Simon Pegg as Montgomery Scott, in the 2009 film Star Trek.
He is one of very few actors to have appeared in the Doctor Who, Star Trek and Star Wars franchises.
