Peter Dickson was the footman for Sir George Harding and his family.

He was born in London, where his mother told him that black cats were unlucky, especially if they had green eyes. His father was a sailor, who drowned at sea.Thirty years later, whilst on a smoking break just outside the house he was in service for, he saw a cat, although he couldn't see much of it except its eyes. Shortly after, he was attacked and interrogated by one of Melissa Heart's clockwork knights, but was saved by the Ninth Doctor and Rose.
