I'm pretty sure the Doctor means to say River married Stephen Fry, not himself. Every other name each person says is someone the other married. --121.45.216.108talk to me 23:39, December 26, 2015 (UTC)
"River Song mentions Cleopatra, who she previously passed off. She also tries to accuse the Doctor of marrying Cleopatra, but the Doctor brushes it off because of the fact River had assumed her identity. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)"
That's a really strange interpretation of what was said. How did someone get that the Doctor was brushing it off from that conversation where they were just throwing names out and it sounded more like he was saying he married her too. Whether or not he meant meant that he married actual Cleopatra hardly matters. 71.235.140.59talk to me 00:17, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
- Certainly I don't remember from that exchange the Doctor bringing up that she was disguised as her in The Pandorica Opens. -- Tybort (talk page) 01:12, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
- He actually said "same difference" about Cleopatra so I got the impression he meant since River had once been her. As for the Stephen Fry think I agree with the first commentator.--WarGrowlmon18 ☎ 20:25, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
Doctor: So, King Hydroflax.
River: Oh, how many times? I married the diamond!
Doctor: So you say.
River: Elizabeth I.
Doctor: Ramone.
River: Marilyn Monroe.
Doctor: Stephen Fry.
River: Cleopatra!
Doctor: Same thing!
The context is River and the Doctor throwing names back and forth of who the other has married besides each other. River accused him of marrying Elizabeth I, Marilyn Monroe, and Cleopatra. He accused her of marrying Ramone, Stephen Fry, and when it came to Cleopatra he said "same thing" (not same difference) indicating they both married Cleopatra. Explosion[[edit source]]
- After the ship explodes on Darillium, the Doctor and River fly across the room of the TARDIS due to the force of the explosion. Shouldnt the TARDIS prevent that from happening? Timeoin•Say G'Day•View my work 02:05, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
- Maybe if it had inertial dampeners but this is Doctor Who not Star Trek.--WarGrowlmon18 ☎ 20:25, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
Restaurant at the End of the Universe[[edit source]]
"Is the gentleman here for dinner?"
"Yes he is."
"Excellent. I'll have the chef prepare him immediately."
- The whole scene is reminiscent of Doug Adams' "Restaurant at the End of the Universe". I'm wondering if other people agree to the point that this reference should be added to the main article page.– The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.144.138.19 (talk • contribs) .
- If it's not incredibly obvious, you need a reference to support the comparison.--Skittles the hog - talk 14:44, January 2, 2016 (UTC)
