A temporary autonomous zone, or TAZ, was a bubble or hiccup in time-space, into which locations sometimes fell. It lasted for "no more than ten or fifteen minutes", according to the Sixth Doctor. When it snapped back into real time, everything returned to where it belonged. Prague was especially prone to fall into a TAZ. (PROSE: Strange Attractor)
