The earliest settlement in the Vltava Valley was in around 50-60,000 BCE.

In 850, construction of Prague Castle had begun under the auspices of Prince Borivoj.

Shortly before a Weapons Crisis Committee about Cobalt Blue was assembled in Geneva in 2000, the latest in a long series of incidents involving the chemical occurred in Prague. It reportedly centred around the explosion a device which contained "nothing but Cobalt Blue, putty, and string", illustrating the unpredictability of a material, which sometimes appeared inert without a reagent, but at other times exploded seemingly by itself. In the 24th century, Prague was removed from space-time by a group of Crei and brought aboard their spacecraft so they could search for the Tipping Device.
