Public Register Video, or Public Record Video, (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Deadly Assassin) was a Time Lord local news channel.
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Fourth Doctor tuned the TARDIS scanner to this channel to watch the events of Presidential Resignation Day, taking place at the Panopticon in the Capitol.
One of Public Register Video's presenters was Runcible, whose cameraman in the Panopticon's gallery mysteriously failed to send a signal to him — and didn't respond when Runcible tried to contact him. It later turned out the unfortunate camera operator had been killed by the Decayed Master's Tissue Compression Eliminator, and his shrunken body hidden inside the camera. (TV: The Deadly Assassin)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Although called Public Record Video in Terrance Dicks's novelisation, the channel is referred to by Runcible on one occasion as "Public Register Video" (page 27).
