::: Yeah, about that definitive spelling. It would have been definitive, if BBC editors did their job right. Apart from the above-mentioned spelling MacLean on p. 43, there is another spelling, MacClean on p. 59 and twice on p. 61 of Joyride. Thus, there are two distinct in-universe spellings. == April healing her mother ==
In the History section, paragraph relating to episode 4 (Co-Owner...), "She then used the connection to try to heal her mother ..." is tagged as a disputed statement. Episode 5 (Brave-ish Heart) confirms that this was what she tried to do & that she was successful. The disputed statement tag ought to be removed. --89.241.216.22talk to me 19:06, November 13, 2016 (UTC)

:Thanks.
: BTW, I agree that there was reason to dispute the statement. April's actions in episode 4 were left thoroughly ambiguous. I only meant that, after episode 5, the ambiguity had been cleared up, so the reason for dispute had been removed. Also, from what you say, it's just as well I didn't try to edit the thing myself, as our efforts would have collided. --89.243.202.173talk to me 01:36, November 14, 2016 (UTC)

April's surnameedit source

Where is April's surname given? I couldn't find it anywhere on the first two episodes. OncomingStorm12th 13:48, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

Miss Quill says it in episode 1. "April McClain. The answer to the question: are spinsters born or made?" JagoAndLitefoot 14:16, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

Apparently it's actually spelled "MacClean" SarahJaneFan 11:25, October 26, 2016 (UTC)

I don't believe this can be determined yet, as per T:SPOIL. Amorkuz 11:37, October 26, 2016 (UTC)
I don't think the correct spelling of a name that has already been mentioned on screen is a spoiler. Unfortunately, for now the official website link for April incorrectly links to Charlie's. Once it's fixed, I think that should be a better source for the spelling than the subtitles, which are often full of mistakes. JagoAndLitefoot 15:16, October 26, 2016 (UTC)

My point exactly. I don't remember the name spelled onscreen. There were a couple of spelling suggestions based on Google Book preview of the unreleased books. Those are clearly too early to use. But if we wait just one day, we should have a definitive in-universe (unlike closed captions) spelling. It seems most efficient to wait this one day. Amorkuz 16:11, October 26, 2016 (UTC)
I should point out that the BBC website absolutely isn't a valid source for these things. Historically, it's often been rife with errors. Too bad, really, because it even gives Matteusz a last name. Hopefully one of the books does, too.
