Eddy Stone was a Toy.

He escaped with some of the other Toys from the Petruska Psychiatric Institution. When he met Jack Bartlett, his empathic nature made him become Jack's ideal lover. Eddy was knifed to death by Carl Scraton for Dr Moriah, who was having the escaped Toys destroyed rather than exist beyond his control. (PROSE: Bad Therapy)
