She is also [[Gray]]'s niece. She lives with her son, Jack's grandson, Steven – who, like every child in the world, is briefly taken over by [[the 456]]. She appears in part one when Jack visits her and wants to do some tests on [[Steven Carter|Steven]]. Then, Alice tells her father to leave, and he does to visit [[Rupesh Patanjali|Dr Rupesh]]. Alice's son, Steven, thinks Jack is his uncle. In 1977, Alice was put into cover by her mother, [[Lucia Moretti|Lucia]], who died in 2006 of natural causes. In Day Five, Alice and Steven are released from prison, but Jack needs a child to reverse the signal that killed Clem MacDonald to use against the [[456]]. Because of Steavens Death Alice Did not want to see Jack ever again as he Sacrafised his Grandson.

Alice Carter (previously Sangster, née Melissa Moretti; b. 5 August 1975) was the daughter of Jack Harkness and Lucia Moretti of Torchwood Three.

Melissa was born on 5 August 1975 to Jack Harkness and Lucia Moretti, both of Torchwood Three. In 1977, Lucia left Torchwood and had Melissa put into deep cover in order to distance her from the life of her father, and she was given the alias of Alice Sangster. Her parents were recorded as James and Mary Sangster, which were placeholder names used in the early 1970s.
