Joe Carter

Joe Carter was the ex-husband of Alice Carter and the father of Steven Carter.

At some point, he met and married Alice Sangster. Alice would take Joe's surname, and together they had a son, Steven.
He later divorced Alice, and entered into a relationship with another woman. By 2009, they had married and moved to Italy.
Joe still called Alice and Steven occasionally. He sent Steven postcards and remembered his birthday, for which Alice remarked that there were "worse fathers".
