While aboard the TARDIS, the [[Eleventh Doctor|Doctor]] and [[Clara Oswald]] receive a message requesting a visit from "your greatest admirers". But when they land they are greeted by an army of people who are dressed as the TARDIS! The Greatest One is not the Doctor but the TARDIS itself — an object of worship and legend. They see the Doctor and Clara as parasites feeding off of the legendary blue box and march them off to the sacred disposal chamber (a giant incinerator), while the TARDIS is decorated in garlands and flowers. Not wanting to be disposed of, Clara manages to convince the TARDIS worshipers that they actually help the blue box by tending to its every need and without whose help the TARDIS wouldn't visit anywhere. Having changed their minds, the Doctor and Clara are saved (even though they are "just ugly and not square") and are allowed to re-enter the TARDIS and make their escape. For those watching the TARDIS dematerialise, disappointment is matched by a sense of honour that the TARDIS visited at all. Inside the ship, the Doctor reminds the TARDIS that he will always be her biggest fan — always!

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The TARDIS gets a warmer welcome than the Doctor when they encounter the greatest admirers...

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

While aboard the TARDIS, the Doctor and Clara Oswald receive a message requesting a visit from "your greatest admirers". Not wanting to be disposed of, Clara manages to convince the TARDIS worshippers that they actually help the blue box by tending to its every need and without whose help the TARDIS wouldn't visit anywhere.
