Slaan was a commander of the Ice Warrior fleet on Coldstar. He captured Rose Tyler and the Tenth Doctor in the reception.
He was ultimately killed when Brona Volta ordered her wreckers to activate her ship's self-destruct mechanism, but not before he managed to kill her with his sonic weapon. (AUDIO: Cold Vengeance)
