A man sold pies at the Great Frost Fair in 1814.

Customers would win a pie if they correctly guessed the results of a coin toss, but the Twelfth Doctor realised he was cheating to swindle customers out of their money and so he and Bill Potts were thrown out of his shop, but not before the Doctor managed to steal a pie of his without him noticing.

He later gave the Doctor the location of the dredgers where workers were extracting the excrement of the creature trapped under the River Thames. (TV: Thin Ice)
