Arthur Pendragon was the son of Uther Pendragon and Igerna. He became king of an alternate England.

Arthur was delivered by the Eighth Doctor, who showed an interest in Arthur all his life. The Doctor, going by the name Merlin, visited Arthur often. The Doctor helped to save Arthur's life against Morgaine and Mordred, but Arthur was killed when a Time Lord pretending to be Merlin tricked Arthur's wife Guinevere into killing him.
