The Gauntlet was a House Military training facility created in the 25th year of the War in Heaven. It was located beneath the future site of Kobe. Chris Cwej stayed at the Gauntlet to recover following his regeneration, and the Cwejen were developed at the Gauntlet.
Certain remnants of the Ainu suggested that there was a powerful force in Hokkaido that watched The Gauntlet during the Tokugawa isolation. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
