Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Trinity Wells has reported on the destruction of Big Ben by an alien spacecraft which crashed into the River Thames, "the world held hostage", "planet Earth under nuclear attack", "the skies going dark", the appearance of ghosts, the death of the President, the Toclafane invasion, the subsequent disappearance of the Prime Minister, Harold Saxon's "death", the planet falling asleep, Christmas incidents, the ATMOS systems killing car drivers, the air being set on fire, and the Earth being stolen.
- Trinity Wells' book is entitled The News According To..., which claims that there is no such thing as aliens and that the recent news is but illusions and lies, attributing reported incidents as mass hallucinations and conversion disorders.
- Trinity has received death threats for the book.

- Trinity is the face of Piscatek's Real News Network.
- Trinity and Jack dine at Newport Pagnell services. They have jacket potato and coleslaw.
- Trinity initially read the local weather on station WKLCB. She claims its audience to be a twelve farmers and a goat, with the latter being the only sane viewer.
- It is predicted that, in a few years' time, more people will receive news on their phone as opposed to television.
- Piscatek sells weapons and surveillance.
- A man says that his grandfather woke up on a roof.
- Another man's aunt was killed out shopping by a so-called "hallucination".
- The "ATMOS attacks" were explained by the media as an environmental terrorist attack. Trinity claims that it was "big business covering up a terrible mistake".
- Jack describes bread sticks as "funny things" and "crisps for people who are scared of crisps."
- Foxglove is a code name to do with UNIT.
- Trinity knows that UNIT deals with aliens and alien invasions.
- Trinity is aware of Torchwood and Jack Harkness but feigns ignorance when is assigned as her driver.
- Trinity works with Jack to thwart the alien flies in charge of Piscatek.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The revelation of the human-form aliens, whose speech changes "s" sounds to a buzzing "z", is identical to that of the Vespiform in TV: The Unicorn and the Wasp. However, they are identified as giant flies as opposed to the Vespiform, which appears as a giant wasp.
