A temporal displacement, or time displacement, was a temporal phenomenon in which a certain element from one time period was misplaced into another time period.

Whitaker used time eddys to transport dinosaurs from the past to 1970s London as part of Operation Golden Age. A 12th century peasant was inadvertently transported too. As the Third Doctor noted, every temporal displacement caused localised distortion in time; as the people in the immediate vicinity were concerned, time literally ran backwards. As such, they would have no recollection of what had occurred. (TV: Invasion of the Dinosaurs)

Narvin had access to a displacement monitor which could measure time displacement. He used it to track Cecelia Pollard after Torvald and Mephistopheles Arkadian tried to keep her from killing herself. (AUDIO: A Blind Eye)

Captain John Hart made note of a temporal displacement when the Cardiff Space-Time Rift, after Jack Harkness threw a DNA bomb, reverted back to the night when he first came through, with Jack noting that they would have to avoid themselves. (TV: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang)

Krasko wielded a temporal displacement weapon which could send objects to other time periods. (TV: Rosa)

Iris Wildthyme once mentioned "retro-causal temporal displacement". (PROSE: Iris Wildthyme and the Unholy Ghost)
