This is a work of non-fiction.

Unlike other fictional universes, the Doctor Who universe is created solely by fiction. To us, this is not a valid source. Information from this source can only be used in "behind the scenes" sections, or on pages about real world topics.

The Audio Scripts was the official release of four scripts from early in Big Finish's run of full-cast Doctor Who audios: Loups-Garoux, The Holy Terror, The Fires of Vulcan and Neverland.

Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Since 1999, Big Finish Productions have produced regular, fully-licensed ongoing audio adventures for the Doctor and his companions on CD. Each four-part story stars members of the original Doctor Who cast in brand-new adventures through time and space.

Presented in this book are the original scripts for four of Big Finish's most popular plays, one per Doctor.

From the new run of Fifth Doctor adventures starring Peter Davison comes Loups-Garoux, penned by Marc Platt who wrote the very last Doctor Who story made by BBC Television in 1989. Colin Baker returned as the Sixth Doctor in The Holy Terror, by award-winning playwright Robert Shearman. Representing the Seventh Doctor, played once again by Sylvester McCoy , is The Fires of Vulcan by acclaimed novelist Steve Lyons. Rounding this collection off is Neverland, the most recent Eighth Doctor audio adventure featuring Paul McGann and authored by comic strip writer and editor Alan Barnes.

The scripts reprinted herein include dialogue and sequences missing from the finished releases. A must for ever fan of the Doctor's timeless adventures!

Notable features[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The script for Neverland was originally four parts (the released version is the second). The original is printed with several scenes which did not make it to the originally released version. In particular other scenes that took place in the Matrix with the Doctor are included.
  • There is an introduction entitled Of Wildtracks and Werewolves by Nick Pegg and a short essay mid way by Gary Russell called A Taste of My Own Medicine, detailing some of his work as script editor for Big Finish.
  • On the wraparound cover on the back are colour covers of the four audio dramas featured and publisher's summaries of all four.
