Pete Nesbit was the Controller of the Marine Rescue Brigade on Earth in the 40th century. He and Hal investigated the disappearance of a fishing fleet sailing past Spain. They discovered that sea creatures mutated to giant size by an unexploded H-bomb were responsible.
