::As one of the main contributors in the debate that led to Six Hundred becoming (mostly) valid I can clear up some misconceptions. The anthology has 50+ stories and the vast majority are poems. Also, none of the (three) stories ruled invalid because of that thread are due to them being non-narrative. Next Episode and Friend Ship break the fourth wall and Verity is set in the real world. I hope this clears things up. --Borisashton <span title="Talk to me">☎</span> 00:05, March 14, 2020 (UTC) | ::As one of the main contributors in the debate that led to Six Hundred becoming (mostly) valid I can clear up some misconceptions. Extreme scrutiny of my comments aside, the fact that some poems are by their nature not narrative means that they get the "invalid" tag upon creation (video games face the same kind of situation). If it is established that a poem is narrative, it will of course get the "real world" tag. The final decision in these matters rests with an admin, not just whoever creates the page or whoever wants to find it valid. Validityedit source
Hi, I'd argue that this story is valid. Even though it's only 6 lines long, it's still told as a narrative, just as much as the poems in Now We Are Six Hundred are narratives. Toy Story Fan 23:54, March 13, 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, see, poems are not obviously narrative. They should never be created with the "real world" tag. If they are narrative, the "invalid" tag can be changed over, but poems by their nature should have the "invalid" tag until/unless proved narrative. And just to point out, some of the poems in Six Hundred are considered non-narrative, as are some of the poems in the Short Trips anthologies. Shambala108 ☎ 23:56, March 13, 2020 (UTC)
- I agree with you, but I'd still argue Laugh of an Angel has a clear narrative.
A woman walks through a graveyard, and a Weeping Angel sends her back in time. It's not necessarily a nuanced story, but I'd say it has a case for being valid. Hope this helps. Toy Story Fan 00:08, March 14, 2020 (UTC)
- As one of the main contributors in the debate that led to Six Hundred becoming (mostly) valid I can clear up some misconceptions. The anthology has 50+ stories and the vast majority are poems. Also, none of the (three) stories ruled invalid because of that thread are due to them being non-narrative. Next Episode and Friend Ship break the fourth wall and Verity is set in the real world. I hope this clears things up. --Borisashton ☎ 00:05, March 14, 2020 (UTC)
