The Grand Witch was a powerful witch and the leader of a gathering of evil witches on Vargo.

The Grand Witch hatched a plan to destroy her human enemies on Earth with a swarm of man-eating bats from swamp planet, but was scared off her plan by the Second Doctor. (COMIC: Return of the Witches)
When the Doctor arrived on Vargo, he scared off most of the witches by claiming to be the "Wizard of Omega" and using gadgets from his utility belt to perform "magic tricks."
