Return of the Witches was a Second Doctor comic story first published in TV Comic Holiday Special 1968.

The Doctor, John, and Gillian land on a swamp planet but they are thrown into a battle to save Earth from the Witches, who have their own plans for the future.

  • The Grand Witch creates a host of man-eating bats.
  • The Doctor refers to the Witches as "evil hags."
