The Forgotten Son original opening was the original preface to the novel The Forgotten Son by Andy Frankham-Allen. It did not appear in the novel, but was published in Lethbridge-Stewart: Top Secret Files.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Harold Chorley visits Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart in a nursing home. He has one month left to live and asks Chorley to write his memoirs.

Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Chorley uses an iPad.

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Frankham-Allen stated that this preface was cut from the novel because it would've been "one too many introductions".
  • The Brigadier stops Chorley from drinking the extra brandy, because it's for a special friend. This is a reference to TV: The Wedding of River Song.
