The Sorvix who fled to Cardiff used a power plant in the Bristol Channel. Months after their departure, it came untethered in a storm and was found by men aboard the Mermaid Fishing Tours boat, who were turned to stone.
Made aware of this by Andy Davidson, Jack Harkness found photographs on one of the men's mobile phones and realised what had been found. He went to the station with St John Colchester, Ng and Norton Folgate in a submersible to avert the destruction that it would cause once it went into meltdown. The Committee manipulated God and Norton into using the Lens to create a tsunami from the exploding station. As it exploded, it was sent into the Rift. (AUDIO: Eye of the Storm)
