Kate was considered by most of her colleagues to be the jolliest and nicest person in her office. Everyone liked her, except Emma Webster; to Emma Webster, she was known as "Vile Kate".
Kate regularly pottered around the office with large cards, and collected presents for leaving-dos, birthdays, weddings, births and Secret Santa. She had a natural ability to succeed at work without either intelligence or effort. Her voice came across to Emma as a "constant tone of mildly resentful surprise".
She had a new boyfriend called Maurice and an "almost endless bundle of kiddies". (PROSE: Almost Perfect)
