Whilst he went to the Chronicon to seek an audience, Brian explored the city and was recruited into a plot to kill the Minds. Brian's team reached the Minds during the Doctor's audience, but their confrontation was interrupted by the arrival of the Kotturuh, who had returned to ask the Minds how to defeat the Doctor and survive his poisoning of them, threatening to destroy Magnox if they did not comply.
