Rita Cooper was a time agent. She was assigned to protect the Gunpowder Plot. She didn't like the assignments that was given and complained to her boss about it. She detected Missy's interference and went to stop her. Missy stole some of her equipment. As the Monk foiled Missy's plans she was able to return to her own time, only to be sent to the RMS Titanic.
