Bev Stanley was Ianto Jones' boss at Torchwood One. She was the head of Information Retrieval in the Institute.
Bev was described by Ianto in as being a woman who only smiled when she wanted something done. Ianto also said that Bev tried to emulate Yvonne Hartman, wearing the same clothes and doing her hair exactly like Yvonne's. Bev had high ambitions and would perhaps one day have liked to take over Torchwood One. (PROSE: Trace Memory)
She had no interest in hiring Ianto, who was only hired after his CV landed on Yvonne's desk. (AUDIO: Uprising)
Bev met her end while showing Charles Cromwell an intruder in the Institute's holding rooms some time before the Battle of Canary Wharf. According to Ianto's account, Bev Stanley was replaced by the afternoon of her death, and she was never mentioned again. (PROSE: Trace Memory)
