Arthur Lakesmith was a human who lived on Agora during the 22nd century.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
Arthur Lakesmith led a rebellion against the Overseers in 2175, and later, against the CyberNomads in 2176. During the battle against the Cybermen, Arthur shot a Cyberman that nearly killed Ben Taggart, before forcing the latter to accompany him back inside Population Control, intending to detonate a makeshift bomb in the complex's control centre, thereby destroying Population Control and potentially the Cyber-Scout craft. However, inside Population Control, Arthur and Ben were ambushed by more Cybermen, one of which punched through a wall and grabbed Arthur; he attempted to fight it off, but the Cyberman began breaking his arms. As a result, Arthur instructed Ben to leave him behind and take the bomb to the complex's control centre. Although the Cybermen ripped one of Arthur's arms out of its socket, snapped his spine and pulled a rib through the wall of his stomach - to use him as an example of what would happen to anyone else who rebelled against the Cybermen - he managed to survive the failed rebellion.
Fifteen years later, in 2191, Arthur Lakesmith became the first human on Agora to be converted into a Bronze Knight, and fought in a second rebellion against the Cybermen. (PROSE: Killing Ground)
Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]
During the rebellion against the CyberNomads in 2176, Arthur Lakesmith had a huge body, and a particularly large beard. (PROSE: Killing Ground)
Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]
Arthur Lakesmith was an excellent leadership figure, as the rebels who fought alongside him in the rebellion against the CyberNomads in 2176 were inspired by him, and was incredibly selfless, as he had no qualms about sacrificing himself in order to ensure that the rebellion was a success. However, Arthur did not tolerate selfish cowardice, as demonstrated by his aggressive reaction to Ben Taggart's suggestion that the two of them could simply surrender to the Cybermen and allow them to regain control of Agora.
However, following the failed rebellion, Arthur became a shell of his former self. Ben Taggart believed that, as a result, Arthur ultimately chose to be converted into a Bronze Knight because he no longer had anything left to lose. (PROSE: Killing Ground)
