Philip Voss (20 August 1936-13 November 2020[1]) appeared in two Doctor Who television stories: as Acomat in Marco Polo and Wahed in The Dominators. He later voiced a Robot and an Under-Sergeant in the Doctor Who audio story Original Sin.

He shared his memories of Marco Polo and The Dominators on the 46th edition of Big Finish's charity podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round.

Career[[edit] | [edit source]]

His television credits included roles on Out of the Unknown, No Hiding Place, The Troubleshooters, Elizabeth R, Crossroads and Inspector Morse. His film credits include roles in Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell and Octopussy.

He appeared alongside Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi in the ITV sitcom Vicious, in which its first series contained references to Doctor Who.

Personal life[[edit] | [edit source]]

Voss was in a civil partnership with John Peacock from 2006 until Peacock's death in 2017. The pair had been living together as partners since the 1970s.[1]
