Axel Pressbutton once attended Bonjaxx's birthday party at Maruthea and spoke with Abslom Daak. (COMIC: Party Animals [+]Loading...["Party Animals (comic story)"])
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
Unnamed in the story, Axel Pressbutton is distinguished by his bald head and bladed left arm. Axel Pressbutton is one of the few cameos of a comic book character in Party Animals that is not from Marvel. His stories have been published by the magazines Dark Star and Warrior as well as Eclipse Comics.
Axel Pressbutton was in fact created when Steve Dillon wanted to make a series about Abslom Daak, but Marvel refused permission, so he created a similar character. Daak makes a cameo at a bar in the second issue of Eclipse's Axel Pressbutton comic series. ("Strip!", DWM 154) This appears to be referenced by their interaction in Party Animals.
