In Earth-33⅓, William Hartnell played the First Doctor. He auditioned for the role in 1963 and later got the part. At his audition, he ordered his companions Susan, Ian and Barbara to clean the TARDIS control room. This forced a member of the crew to politely remind him he was no longer in The Army Game. In 1966, he was succeeded in the role by Patrick Troughton. (COMIC: Ever Wondered What Happened At.. The Auditions For The Seven Doctors?)
