With crossover characters, I don't believe we even need use {{Conjecture}}. I support the rename. Aquanafrahudy 📢 13:52, 6 September 2023 (UTC)

If this does get renamed, I'd like to request a bot to change all "Category:Parker (Mr. Steelman) images"-tagged files to be edited to instead have "Category:Aloysius Parker images". Cookieboy 2005 22:58, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
(Oh, and I think a rename would be cool, it would make it much clearer who it refers to) Cookieboy 2005 22:59, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
As "Aloysius" comes from a TV21-adjacent source (a biography in the 1967 Thunderbirds Annual) I'm happy for this rename to go ahead, though the fact it hasn't been used in any DWU source we cover should be noted in the behind-the-scenes section. Borisashton 23:04, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
Well even without that source surely the Star Trek precedent would apply? 23:15, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
What I meant by that is I would have been more uncomfortable with the rename if the first name had originated in one of the 1990s reprint magazines, for example, but its first usage is contemporaneous with both the original run of Thunderbirds and the DWU crossovers in TV Century 21.
The original purpose of the Star Trek precedent was to allow us to freely refer to unnamed characters and concepts from Assimilation² with which Star Trek fans were already familiar. To answer your question, I'm not actually convinced it would apply if "Aloysius" had come from a source published twenty-five years after Thunderbirds's licensed relationship to the Doctor Who universe had ended. The matter is purely academic, though, because this is not the case and the rename is uncontroversial. Borisashton 23:37, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
I've moved the page; would it be possible for the image category to be moved in the way said above ("Parker (Mr. Steelman) images" to "Aloysius Parker images") (using a bot)? Cookieboy 2005 19:51, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
This all seems very uncontroversial. I've done a quick bot run for the image categories. Bongo50 20:00, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
