A subconscious intracutaneous retro-fold memory loop was an after-effect of mindwipes that caused an effect in the brain that made the person experiencing it subconsciously want to act like the someone else without them knowing they were doing it.
In 2009, when Donna Noble was mindwiped by the Tenth Doctor due to the Meta-Crisis affecting her human mind, (TV: Journey's End [+]Loading...["Journey's End (TV story)"]) she obtained this subconscious effect, which made her want to do good in the world, without knowing her influence.
