"The Parish Church of Oldenhalt" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

A church was located on Ruby Road in Manchester.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

This section's awfully stubby.

Information from TV: The Legend of Ruby Sunday [+]Loading...["The Legend of Ruby Sunday (TV story)"] and Empire of Death [+]Loading...["Empire of Death (TV story)"] needs to be added.

On Christmas Eve 2004, a stranger came to the church on Ruby Road, carrying a new-born girl. Just before midnight, she left the child on the steps of the church. As the stranger left the church, Goblins attempted to steal the baby to eat her, in revenge for an older version of her and the Fifteenth Doctor thwarting their plans to eat Lulubelle in 2023.

However, the Doctor, using his intelligent gloves, pulled the Goblin ship into the church, impaling the Goblin King with the church's spire. As a result, the ship dematerialised, leaving the baby behind. The Doctor put her back on the steps and left just before the clock struck midnight. The child was then taken in (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"]) by the vicar, (PROSE: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (novelisation)"]) and eventually adopted by Carla Sunday, who named the baby "Ruby" after the road she was found on. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

A selection of prop detailing from The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"].
  • The name of this church hasn't been shown in any officially published media, with the closest reveal being a sign outside the church in The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"], entirely in background shots. The name — "The Parish Church of Oldenhalt" — was present on props seen in the episode, later shown publicly by assistant graphic designer Sophie Cowdrey.[1]
