Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- In the real world, "Ashes to Ashes" was written and performed by David Bowie.
- The title of the popular police procedural drama TV series Ashes to Ashes, which starred Keeley Hawes, is a reference to this song. The series was a sequel to the series Life on Mars, also named after a Bowie song. Both were created by Matthew Graham.
