You may be looking for the comic story.

Coda was the final short story released alongside Night of the Yssgaroth, the first novel in the SIGNET series. It was written by range editor James Hornby.

As the name of the story suggests, the story is considered a coda.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Charles Zoltan takes Xana on a drive to a mysterious destination.

Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]

Xanara Pasam has reluctantly agreed to let Charles Zoltan drive her to a surprise destination which he thinks she will enjoy. She is initially put in mind of past struggles when she notices that they're driving through a route reminiscent of the one she took during her flight through the Yssgaroth-possessed London, but the final destination, a coffee shop, seems both a relief and a disappointment — until Charles shows her the person with whom he set up a date on Xana's behalf: Claire, the friendly old woman Xana befriended only for her to be possessed by the Yssgaroth, and had lost track of in the meantime. Explaining that he thinks she could use a friend who's not part of SIGNET, he leaves them to catch up, with Xana indeed instantly finding her company soothing.

Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Xana recognised some of the streets Charles drives her through from "the route she had journeyed under the cover of the Yssgaroth's thick red sky", and is ultimately reunited with Claire, who was possessed by the Yssgaroth when she last saw her. Both of these things occurred in PROSE: Night of the Yssgaroth [+]Loading...["Night of the Yssgaroth (novel)"].
