Alternate counterparts of the Tenth Doctor existed in other realities. These individuals shared similarities with the Doctor from the Doctor's universe, despite existing in parallel universes or alternate timelines.

Confronting the Lost[[edit] | [edit source]]
After losing Mark on Beltos Station, (AUDIO: The Trojan Dalek [+]Loading...["The Trojan Dalek (audio story)"]) the Doctor and Anya's ship began to malfunction. Having her set a course for the Gruad Confusion, a weak point in space and time, the Doctor used the stolen time engine to attempt a time jump, arrived in the realm home to the Lost. It revealed a portal which could transport only one of them and attempted to emotionally manipulate them into abandoning each other and taking it along with them inside their body, driving a wedge between them by reminding the Doctor of Ann Kelso and other lost companions and exposing his role in Sara Kingdom and Bret Vyon's deaths to Anya. Eventually Anya decided to force the Doctor to leave and stop the Lost escaping, by pretending to go along with it and then activating a detonator, killing herself and injuring the Lost that had been inside her. The Doctor refused to accept this outcome and used the time engine to jump back to before he and Anya attempted the time jump, guiding him to avoid arriving in the Lost's realm in the first place. The alternative Doctor died in doing so, however memories of this timeline were retained by the Doctor. (AUDIO: The Lost [+]Loading...["The Lost (audio story)"])
Multi-Doctor event[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Doctor and Gabby Gonzalez became involved in a "Multi-Doctor event" with the Twelfth Doctor, Clara Oswald, the Eleventh Doctor and Alice Obiefune due to the machinations of an alternate timeline version of the Twelfth Doctor who had joined with the Voord after being "betrayed" by Clara, and was manoeuvring events to ensure his existence. However, though he was able to set his younger counterpart on the path to joining with the Voord, his plot was undone by Gabby being sent back in time by a Weeping Angel and giving her younger self a warning. Alternate timelines[[edit] | [edit source]]
Time Lord Victorious[[edit] | [edit source]]
In an alternative timeline envisioned by a continuity bomb, instead of sacrificing himself, the Doctor let Wilfred die in the radiation chamber of the Immortality Gate, viewing himself to be "more valuable to the universe", though he regretted his choice and broke down in tears immediately afterwards. The Doctor then went on to embrace the title of "Time Lord Victorious" and became a dictator "whose rule fixed a broken cosmos". He met his end at the hands of a Raxacoricofallapatorian who shot him with a weapon that seemingly cancelled the regenerative process. Reality Virus[[edit] | [edit source]]
In another reality created by the Reality Virus, the Doctor stayed with Madame de Pompadour in France and started a family. He ditched the name Doctor. He lashed together a video recorder out of an astrolabe and the psychic paper to record a message for his child in case anything happened to him. Parallel World (Turn Left)[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Main article: Tenth Doctor (Turn Left)
In a parallel world generated around Donna Noble by the power of the Time Beetle, the Tenth Doctor died fighting the Empress of the Racnoss, destroying himself along with her because he had no Donna there to stop him from going too far. His dead body was recovered by UNIT, who also took custody of his TARDIS. It was speculated that his death had been sudden for him to will himself to regenerate. This entire world later "blinked out of existence", rejoining the divergent Donna with her original counterpart, after she went back in time and undid the original divergence caused by the Beetle.
