The Order of the Dragon was a secret organization founded in the 15th century to repel the Ottoman Turk invasion of Europe and deal with the threat of pre-human cultures like the Mal'akh. (PROSE: The Book of the War [+]Loading...["The Book of the War (novel)"])
By one account, it was created by the Vlad the Great, who was personally known as "the Dragon"; (AUDIO: Son of the Dragon [+]Loading...["Son of the Dragon (audio story)"]) by another account, its founder was Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund of Hungary.
The Order had ties to the Society of St George. The emblem of the Order was a dragon suspended from a crucifix, reminiscent of the St George legend. Vlad III was a member.
