Hello again. This is actually my first series here (mainly because of series 7 taking up two years — I clearly have not been here for two years, much less one.) Anyway, I noticed that you created series 7 (Doctor Who 2005) midway through s6. At this point in time, series 8 has been confirmed, and we have just as much information as you had in the just-started series 7. So... do we wait, or do we create series 8 (Doctor Who)?<br>--SOTO ☎ 02:15, May 27, 2013 (UTC)

Untitled message 1edit source

I'm not saying it is, I'm saying it looks like one. It just doesn't look very appealing.

I re-uploaded it from someone else, who had uploaded it as a .png.

If I sounded mad, my bad. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 18:29, January 3, 2013 (UTC)

Nameedit source

After almost 125 responses (!), the discussion over the wiki's imminent name change appears to be nearing conclusion. You have 24 hours to register your objections at Thread:117468. If you don't, the name will change to Tardis Data Core tomorrow.

Please apologize for implying I am a liaredit source

Your auto-deletion of my edit on Quick Reads brands me a lair. Please actually check the edits before you blindly delete them. Look at the cover for The Silurian Gift. Does it say £1 or does it not say £1. Do you actually own any copies of Quick Reads. I do and they contain 100 pages of story text. If you don't want people to contribute information, then lock the damn pages and make them accessible only to you and your buddy CzechOut. 70.72.211.35talk to me 17:08, January 20, 2013 (UTC)

Spellingedit source

Message Walledit source

I have a huge, running ticket of all the little bugs I find with the Wall Forum, and I filed this one back in December. I'll be going back in February to give BertH a nudge on the issues that haven't been resolved by then. They have a huge backlog of fixes still lingering from their Christmas break, and I wanna see what happens by February before I start saying, "Hey, whatever happened with this one?"

Don't delete videos just cause they're "unused"edit source

I know you love to delete unused files, so I should tell you that videos don't obey the expected rules of file usage. If you go to cricket bat, you'll see a video in the right rail. This video, File:Coming to terms with regeneration - Doctor Who Castrovalva - BBC is actually on cricket bat, regeneration and Fifth Doctor. But being in the right rail doesn't "count" towards the file usage stat, so you get this false positive "no pages link to this image" message.

For this reason, I'd advise that you not delete videos on the basis of the "file usage" stat. You should pretty much assume that every video uploaded is being used somehow, even if it's not readily apparent how.

Re:Speculationedit source

Oops... I had a source, I just forgot to add it... Keep in mind that that page is very aggravating to edit, what with the "spoilers" warning popping up ever five seconds... OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 01:32, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Blockedit source

I just got this message when I tried to edit a page.

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You're blocked.

Blocking admin Mini-mitch Reason Vandalism. Pure, simple vandalism at the following page(s) --> Block start 13:56, February 10, 2013 Block end infinite Intended blockee 199.27.76.23 Block ID 3907 Current IP 199.27.76.23

You can contact Mini-mitch or another administrator to discuss the block. Please include all details in the above box — but especially the block id number in gold — in any queries you make.

I really don't think that I've done anything to deserve blocking. I've certainly never vandalised a page. Is this a mistake? I'm flabbergasted, I really am. --GusF 14:30, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

Well, that's a relief anyway! I thought that it was a mistake as I knew that I had done nothing wrong and the block became intermittent after I posted the above message. Thanks for the explanation! --GusF 14:44, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

How many bleeding sources do I need?!?!?!?!edit source

I've been told that I'm not providing sufficient sources to say that episode 12 will be "The Last Cyberman".

Now I don't know how you run this god forsaken wiki but why the hell is four sources (one of which is a bleeding interview with Neil Gaiman himself stating that it's called "The Last Cyberman") not enough?!

And yes I am annoyed and you're bound to get this day in and day out so you're probably more annoyed than I am right now...

50thedit source

Well, to be frank I see no issue with adding it to the page. But carry on. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 00:23, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

I Hines Sight, can we keep the info on the 50th on the page? Until we have a page on the special or we even get confirmation of series 8 I think it's best to keep it on the Series 7 page. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 01:25, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Is there something wrong with the site?edit source

I ask because my day counter rolled back to zero a few days ago, despite the fact that I have been contributing daily for some time now (You can check my Contributions for confirmation), and today I kept getting an error message when I tried to edit a page. When I finally managed it, I checked my counter again, but it didn't register today's contribution. The Nth Doctor 01:17, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

Game of Rassilon problemedit source

In the Game of Rassilon, the Doctor's Golden TARDIS Key has reset to 1 for me in spite of the fact that I've contributed every day. It should be at 336. This may have something to do with the fact that last year was a leap year and so the corresponding day last year was 29 February. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks. --GusF 15:19, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

Is there any update on fixing this? --GusF 20:08, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

GORedit source

Is there any chance at all that you could possibly come up with some more editing tracks for the Game of Rassilon? I meant to get around to making some new ones, but I'm just swamped with work.

Series 7 deletionedit source

Hi, just checking something about the info you recently deleted from Series 7 (Doctor Who 2005). When you deleted each episode name being mentioned in the episode, did you also mean to delete the info on the "cumbrian agenda" and the re-occurrence of "eleventh", or was this by mistake?

Only it wouldn't surprise me if they may be akin to the memes of Bad Wolf, Mr. Saxon, etc of previous series, and might be worth keeping. Geek Mythology 15:27, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

Pic issuesedit source

Just to keep you abreast of maintenance issues with files:

 • Full delete of unlicensed images happened over the weekend, sort of a mid-series cleanup
 • I've been whittling away at Special:WantedFiles pretty consistently for days, now, and it's mostly down to inconsequential, unreal "example" redlinks and things that are in infoboxes and therefore require manual deletion. About 300-odd redlinks have been deleted. We're below 200 redlinks for the first time in literally years, and a goodly number of these aren't "real" deleted links, but examples in template instructions. (If you've never been to WantedFiles before, it's essentially the flip side to the file deletions that we've been doing. It shows what happens when you delete a file but not its existing links.)

T:NO RWedit source

In order for this rule to make sence, their should be no hyperlinks linking the pages to other sites.--Jenkins92 06:27, May 8, 2013 (UTC)jenkins92--Jenkins92 06:27, May 8, 2013 (UTC)

Series questionedit source

Hey, Mini-mitch. I asked Czech a question here regarding series pages a while back, and he redirected me to you. The question is regarding prequels — how do they fit in to series pages? I've noticed that series 7 has Prequel (The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe), the two Snowmen prequels and The Bells of Saint John: A Prequel. But why not Prequel (Asylum of the Daleks) or The Making of the Gunslinger? Why aren't there any prequels on the series 6 page? Or, for that matter, why aren't there Tardisodes on the series 2 page? Should they all be included, or should we get rid of them all from series pages? It all seems kind of random to me, as if we've picked which prequels to include with a blindfold on. As you seem to be the admin most active on series pages, I thought maybe you could offer your opinion on the matter. Thanks! --SOTO 01:14, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you. That is actually a great idea. I'll implement it on the other series pages. --SOTO 00:33, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Series 7 finale spoiler warningedit source

There's a typo in the spoiler warning announcement, it starts with "Please not", instead of "Please note". Minor, but totally changes the meaning, so please fix it.  Digifiend  Talk  PR/SS  KR  MH  Toku  JD  Garo  TH  CG  UM  Logos  CLG  DW  18:08,12/5/2013

Dorium Maldovaredit source

Why did you move Dorium Maldovar back to one-episode companion? Anoted 22:28, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Oooh, sorry, didn't even realise that I left him in the one-episode section as well. My bad. Anoted 23:26, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Series 8edit source

Hello again. This is actually my first series here (mainly because of series 7 taking up two years — I clearly have not been here for two years, much less one.) Anyway, I noticed that you created series 7 (Doctor Who 2005) midway through s6. At this point in time, series 8 has been confirmed, and we have just as much information as you had in the just-started series 7. So... do we wait, or do we create series 8 (Doctor Who 2005)?

Christmas cheeredit source

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
