While travelling with Romana II and K9 Mark II, the Fourth Doctor's control room became a bigger version of the previous control room design. This control room could be differentiated from the previous design by all of its roundels being complete and and its corners all having columns. (TV: Meglos [+]Loading...["Meglos (TV story)"])
The Fifth Doctor continued to use this design. On orders from the Black Guardian, Vislor Turlough later damaged the Heart of the TARDIS enough to the point of the TARDIS nearly falling apart, (TV: Terminus) leaving the room darker for some time until repairs were done. (TV: Enlightenment)
One Ninth Doctor used a version of this control room with an earlier console, as well as the hatstand with scarf and a table bearing the Second Doctor's stovepipe hat.
The Master equivalent to that Ninth Doctor also used a version of this room with the older console. His control room had green lighting, as well as a spikier menacing hatstand. (TV: The Curse of Fatal Death [+]Loading...["The Curse of Fatal Death (TV story)"])
